Theory in Occupational Therapy

KAWA The KAWA model of occupational therapy is my favorite model because of its use of the river as an analogy to life and life's circumstances.  KAWA is easily understood and a model I could easily describe to others because of its key concepts (river, water, riverside, etc.).  I like that the model explores every aspect of a person and the balance of one's life rather than just the environment (PEOP) being a major factor.
